Brick is hosting the Brick Parkour Asian Tour, scheduled to take place in six countries across Southeast Asia in August 2023. The leg in the Philippines is set to be held at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila and is organized by Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) in partnership with the Pilipinas Obstacle Sports Federation (POSF). The event's objective is to cultivate a fresh audience for Parkour and engage the local community, from newcomers to seasoned athletes.
Brick Brand Manager Mathieu Dumet expressed his ambitions for the Tour: “We’re delighted to join with the FIG for this groundbreaking new tour. One of the key ambitions of Brick is to inspire as many people as possible to get involved with Parkour and we feel this tour gives us the perfect platform to introduce a whole new audience to the sport.”
FIG President Morinari Watanabe declared: “This new partnership with Brick represents a significant investment in the development of Parkour in South-East Asia. The Brick Parkour Asian Tour will allow us to support the Parkour communities across the region. It will also allow the next generation of young athletes to try out for themselves this up-and-coming urban sport with expert guidance from one of the sport’s co-founders, as well as from experienced FIG athletes.”
