This is a 62km mixed-surface gravel/MTB race along the scenic back roads and coastal views of Mogpog, Marinduque. Expect 1179 meter of ascent.
Registration is P1600 for non-residents while residents pays only P1200 subject to submission of a valid ID as proof of residence. Racers will receive:the following: Finishers Shirt, Finishers Medal, Goodie Bag, Timing Chip and a Race Ya E-certificate and a one of a kind experience on two-wheels in Marinduque.

September 16, Friday, 4pm: Mandatory Pre-Race Briefing and Medical Assessment @ Mogpog Municipal Hall
September 17, 5am: Race Check-in, Final Race Briefing

Race Rules and Regulations
GRAVEL Category
1. To be eligible for this category, the bicycle must be equipped with the following:
a. Dropbar or “Jones” bar. FLAT handlebars are not allowed.
b. Minimum tire width of 38c.
c. Knobby tread pattern. Slicks are NOT ALLOWED.
d. The bicycle must also be mechanically sound: wheel alignment, sufficient brake pads, secure headset, etc.
2. Electric/Motorized assist is NOT ALLOWED.
MOUNTAIN BIKE (MTB) Category
1. To be eligible for this category, the bicycle must be equipped with the following:
a. Flat handlebar. Dropbars or Jones bars are NOT ALLOWED.
b. Minimum tire width of 2.1”.
c. Knobby tread pattern. Slicks are NOT ALLOWED.
d. The bicycle must also be mechanically sound: wheel alignment, sufficient brake pads, secure headset, etc.
2. Electric/Motorized assist is NOT ALLOWED.
ALL BIKES MUST BE PRESENTED FOR FINAL INSPECTION AT START/FINISH AREA BY 4:30AM. FAILURE TO MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS LISTED ABOVE WILL RESULT IN BARRED ENTRY UNTIL THESE ARE MET.
Race Rules
1. The racer must affix his issued race number at the front of his handlebar so that it can be clearly read by marshals. Any alterations or obstructions to the race number will result in DISQUALIFICATION.
2. The racer must wear his electronic timing band at all times during the race. This timing band may NOT be exchanged or removed at any time under penalty of DISQUALIFICATION.
3. The racer must wear his bicycle helmet at all times during the race. Removal of helmet will result in DISQUALIFICATION.
4. The racer must have his electronic timing band scanned during the Pre-Race Sign-In, at the KOM checkpoint, and at the Official Finish line.
a. Failure to have this band scanned at any of these sections will result in DISQUALIFICATION.
5. Cash Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:
a. Top 3 Male MTB
b. Top 3 Female MTB
c. Top 3 Male GRAVEL
d. Top 3 Female GRAVEL
6. The remaining Top 7 Finishers for the following categories shall also receive special awards:
a. Male MTB
b. Female MTB
c. Male GRAVEL
d. Female GRAVEL
7. Team Classification winners will be determined by taking the top 3 aggregate times of registered teams.
a. Eligible teams must be registered under only ONE uniform team name.
b. Teams may list up to 5 riders, but only the top 3 finishing times will be counted for the prize.
c. A special Team Classification plaque shall be awarded.
8. There will be cutoff times for the following checkpoints:
a. Pili Climb : 8:30AM
b. Luzon Datum: 10:00AM
9. The Finish Line cutoff time is 12:00PM.
10. The Race Director reserves the right to adjust/waive designated cutoff times if conditions are extraordinarily difficult.
11. Failure to cross the designated checkpoints before the cutoff time will result in Did Not Finish (DNF).
12. Racers must practice good sportsmanship at all times. Swearing at fellow riders, organizers, marshals, and bystanders, physical violence, and other unruly behavior will result in DISQUALIFICATION.
13. Other grounds for DISQUALIFICATION:
a. Course cutting
b. Littering: KEEP YOUR TRASH IN YOUR POCKETS UNTIL YOU CAN ACCESS A TRASH CAN.
c. Hanging on to or riding a motorized vehicle.
14. Practice camaraderie at all times. While this is a race, if you see a fellow racer get into an accident, be a Good Samaritan and see what you can do to help until the organizer’s First Responders can arrive.
15. Health & Safety
a. Each racer must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and submit a scanned copy or QR code of his vaccination certificate upon registration, and upon Sign-In.
b. Every racer must wear a face mask whenever he is not :
i. Racing / Riding his bike
ii. Eating / Drinking
iii. Indoor
c. The Organizer reserves the right to bar entry from the racer if he is found to be in violation of these safety protocols.
