Sikad Philippines is an exhilarating mountain bike race set against the stunning natural backdrop of Montalban, Rizal. Known for its rugged terrain and scenic landscapes, this event challenges cyclists of all levels to push their limits while enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the Sierra Madre mountains. Riders will experience a thrilling mix of off-road trails, forest paths, river crossing, rocky and steep climbs, and exhilarating downhill sections.
This year’s theme, “Rise and ride with the Trails,” captures the spirit of perseverance and growth that mountain biking embodies. Whether climbing steep ascents, navigating tricky descents, or cruising through forested paths, every pedal stroke reflects the rider’s journey to rise above challenges.

About the Event
BENEFICIARY
This event is organized by the Roosevelt Memorial High School Class of 1999 and the net proceeds will be for the benefits of the projects of Batch 1999.
WHY MONTALBAN, RIZAL?
Montalban is renowned for its challenging trails, scenic views, and proximity to Metro Manila, making it an ideal venue for outdoor enthusiasts. The race route offers participants an immersive experience, with encounters along forested paths and panoramic views of the Sierra Madre range.

Sikad Philippines promotes sustainable outdoor activities. Riders are encouraged to minimize waste and respect the environment throughout the race.

- OVERALL WINNERS TOP 3 Male and Female. There will be Cash prize, trophies and tokens from sponsors for podium finishers for the overall winners
- AGE GROUP TOP 3 for 19 and below, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and above. There will be medals and tokens from sponsors for podium finishers in the following categories
- BEST TEAM Special awards for the best team performance (The time of the top 5 fastest with one female)
- BIGGEST TEAM: Special awards for the biggest team delegation
- Finisher medals, Leaderboard and age group rank and e-certificates for all participants

- Terrain: Combination of single-track trails, fire roads, river crossings, steep ascents, and technical descents

Schedule of Activities
- 5:00 AM: Kit Claim, Race Check-in
- 6:00 AM: Rider Briefing & Warm-Up
- 6:30 AM: Race Start (Staggered by Category)
- 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Finish Line Celebrations & Awarding
Participant Requirements
- Proper mountain bike with working brakes and safety gear
- Helmet (mandatory)
- 500ml water
- Gloves, protective eyewear, and hydration packs recommended
To ensure a fair, safe, and enjoyable race, all participants in the 30K category are expected to follow these rules:
General Rules
- Open to all participants with a functional mountain bike.
- Minors must submit a signed waiver from their parent or guardian.
- Riders must register on-site and attend the mandatory pre-race briefing.
- Only mountain bikes (MTB) are allowed.
- Bibs must be worn at the back of the rider and must be visible
- Bib number must be displayed in front of the bike
- Bike sticker must be placed on the helmet
- Timing must be attached to the bike
- Helmets are mandatory and must be worn throughout the race.
- 500ml water is mandatory
- It is recommended to use gloves, eyewear, and hydration packs.
- Race numbers must be clearly displayed on the handlebars.
- Timing chips (if provided) must be securely attached.
Race Day Rules
- Riders must start at the designated time. Late starts are not allowed.
- Riders must follow the marked course and pass through all checkpoints.
- Shortcuts or deviating from the route will result in disqualification.
- Overtake only when it is safe to do so.
- Announce your intention by saying “Passing on your left/right.”
- Slower riders should allow faster riders to pass when possible.
- Riders must complete the race with the same bike they started with.
- Outside mechanical assistance is not allowed; however, riders may help each other.
- A support vehicle will patrol the route for emergencies but will not offer bike repairs.
Safety and Conduct
- Respect your fellow competitors and event staff at all times.
- Unsportsmanlike behavior, including obstruction or intimidation, will result in penalties.
- Water stations will be located along the route. Riders are encouraged to stay hydrated.
- Marshals and medics will be on standby. If you see a fellow rider in distress, please report it at the nearest checkpoint.
- Do not litter along the trail. Use designated waste areas at aid stations.
Penalties and Disqualification
- Failure to wear a helmet during the race.
- Deliberately obstructing another rider.
- Tampering with race equipment or timing devices.
- Skipping checkpoints or taking shortcuts.
- Any protests must be lodged within 30 minutes of finishing the race.
- The Race Committee’s decision will be final.
Awards and Timing Rules
- Medals and tokens from sponsors will be awarded to the top 3 finishers and top 3 per age group. Overall winners can not win in their age group.
- Riders must finish within 4 hours to qualify for a finisher’s medal.

- Riders must complete the official course. Any deviation will be subject to time penalty or disqualification,
