The Special Action Force also known as TAGALIGTAS is the elite unit of the Philippine National Police which mission is to conduct operations as a Rapid Deployment Force anywhere in the country specifically in situations with national and international implications in the areas of counter insurgency, hostage rescue, Search and Rescue, Civil disturbance management and other Special operations.

To become a reliable and competent TAGALIGTAS, SAF trooper must undergone the foundation course which is the SAF COMMANDO COURSE that specialized in internal security operations, waterborne rescue, and police intervention. To allow to wear the SAF BLACK BERET, SAF Commando trainee must pass the test mission or encounter to terrorist.

Once completed it will deliver the pride that surely can be proud off.

In line with this, the SAF Training Branch in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on February 12, 2023, will host an event called the SAF MENTORS CHALLENGE and SAF OBSTACLE COURSE CHALLENGE at the SAFTB training camp. This event is being organized by Run Mania Philippines Promotions Co. The money raised from this event will go to SAFTB to help them finish their facilities and improve their equipment so that their students may receive top-notch training that will help us locals in the future by preparing them to defend us from any internal and foreign threats.
