The KARAY-A are an ethnolinguistic group inhabiting the islands of Panay and Palawan, mostly in the province of Antique. The name is derived from the word IRAYA which means "upstream". Thanks to them, the hinterlands of Antique have been preserved and protected.

A proud representative of the Antiqueños, Congressman AA Legarda, with the support of Senator Loren Legarda, is excited to share to you one of the prized heritages of Antique--Mt Madjaas.

1. The event is open to male and female participants who are physically fit. By registering, all runners vouch for their fitness and health to participate in this event. Only officially registered runners are allowed to enter the race course. No bandit runners are allowed.

2. All participants are required to accomplish completely the registration form and waiver before the race. This is to signify or attest that they are medically insured or have the means to shoulder their own medical expenses shall there be any uneventful circumstance during the race. Those below 18 years old are required to bring a written, filled-up registration form and waiver co-signed by their parents or guardians.

3. Participants for the 42KM category must be a finisher of at least 21KM trail run race prior to race day. All qualifying races must be verifiable on or via web source. All registered runners for 42KM ,25KM and 15KM CATEGORIES are required to submit a MEDICAL CERTIFICATE duly signed by a licensed physician attesting that you are fit to join this race. Failure to comply means automatic disqualification.

4.Runners must be self-contained and equipped with the mandatory gear. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to run. Mandatory gears will be checked prior to gunstart. Random check at the Aid Stations will be employed for safety. Incomplete mandatory gear means outright disqualification from the race.

5.Race event officially and STRICTLY starts at the designated time.

6. All runners will receive shirt and medal for finishing the race within the cut-off time.

7. Race slot or race number is strictly non-transferable without permission from the race organizer.

8. The organizer reserves the right to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other media records of the event for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising without giving any monetary consideration to the participant.

9. All valid questions and/or concerns related to the race must be made known and relayed not later than the respective cut off time for each category to the race organizer at the Finish line. Non-race related protests will not be honored. The organizer will require the protester/complainant to present evidence to support the questions/concerns and a non-refundable protest fee of

Php 1,000 in case of any issue on winners.

10. The organizer reserves the right to alter without prior notice any of these rules and regulations, race course, placement of water stations, etc. which they may deem necessary to ensure the success of the event and safety of the runners.

11. The race takes place rain or shine.

12. The organizer’s decision is final and not appealable.

We are Iraya Adventure Group, a group of outdoor enthusiasts comprised of mountaineers, trail/mountain runners, cyclists, professionals with a passion towards nature. We are the same team who brought to you the TIBT (Tracing Iraynon Bukidnon Trails) Mountain Ultra which produced the international sensation John Ray “Stingray” Onifa, arguably the top caliber Filipino trail runner of this time. The same event produced another promising Iraynon athlete, Larry Apolinario, who has been making the rounds in the local trail running community.

It is our goal:

(1) to instill environmental conservation, culture preservation and local immersion

(2) to encourage community participation, to lobby local products & to market Agri-Tourism

(3) to advocate responsible eco-tourism

(4) to promote health and wellness through Sports Engagement or Sports Tourism

(5) to foster camaraderie among trail runners both in the locality and the rest of the country

(6) to discover and hone potential local athletes to compete in national and international arena.
