GRIT lives in every woman, every story, every stride.
GRIT is a movement under the Philippine Trail Running Association that amplifies the power of girls and women who find strength, freedom, and identity in the mountains and on the trails. Originally founded in 2017 by Race Ya, the movement has evolved through the years while staying true to its purpose—supporting and growing women’s pursuits on the trails.
This 2026, we launch our new logo, carrying a mountain for every climb and a forward motion for her unstoppable spirit—pink for her femininity, and blue for her strength, stability, and endurance. It reflects who she is and how far she continues to go.
GRIT shall exist to:
1. Open access and remove barriers, creating safe and inclusive spaces where women can freely run on the trails.
2. Empower less-privileged girls and women to discover their potential through sport and the outdoors.
3. Encourage greater women’s participation in sport through education, storytelling, and close coordination with event organizers and key stakeholders.
4. Build leadership, confidence, and community through mentorship, shared experiences, and long-term engagement.
5. Conduct events, fundraising initiatives, and community runs to sustain the movement and expand its reach.
We now look ahead to GRIT 2026, guided by our theme: Relentless Forward. Because growth begins where the road ends.
