FINIS is a Latin word that signifies "the end" or "grand finale." It holds symbolic meaning to the company as it not only contains the word 'fin' (our first product), but the word FINIS also represents the true nature of why we, as swimmers, undergo such rigorous training schedules. We continue to strive and improve upon such an unnatural, but immensely rewarding sport.

FINIS is, and will always remain, whole heartedly committed to the discovery and development of innovative swimming products that enable athletes to meet that "end" or "grand finale" of a finish line that we as competitors and individuals set as a benchmark to become bigger and better than who we are today. 

The FINIS Short Course Swim Competition Series 2022 - Visayas Qualifying Competition is happening at the University of Saint La Salle - Bacolod City Swimming Pool on June 25-26 2022, Saturday and Sunday 8:30 A.M.

The University of St La Salle - Bacolod City has:

• 8 Lanes 25 meter Indoor Swimming Pool with showers and dressing rooms
• Spectators’ Area

Top sixteen (16) best times of swimmers in each event from the combined results of the Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao competition will qualify for the FINIS National Finals.

Participants will receive the following:

• Finis Event Shirt (size tick)
• Finis Swim Cap
• Finis Swim Goggles
• Finis Event VIsor
• Finis Swim Chamois Towel
• Finis Sling Back Pack 

This meet shall be conducted under the Swimming Rules of the Federation Internationale de Natation (FINA) as prescribed. Ground rules which have been agreed upon shall be implemented.

All heats will be TIMED FINALS. Overhead start will apply. Heats will be swum in multi-age level. Final result will be sorted according to their respective age group.

All participants will be provided with Finis event swim caps and must be worn during their heats. No exceptions.

Participation is open to all invited School, Club and LGU swim teams. 

ENTRIES

• Entry fee is Php2300 per swimmer entered.
• Registration should be made via Register.raceyaya.com
• Entries deadline: June 22 2022 Wednesday 6:00 P.M. Team entry list will be published and sent to Coaches via email by June 23, 2022 at 9:00 A.M. for checking if their entries are in order.
• Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted.
• Final submission of scratches is on June 23, 2022, 5:00 P.M.
• Please ensure that each participant has entered the correct birthdates.
• Verifiable seed times must be submitted. Otherwise, swimmers with NO SEED TIMES will be declared NT and placed at early heats.
• Coaches must make sure all information entered is true and correct.
• Deck entries will not be accepted except for Relay Order changes.
• There is no limit to the number of events the swimmer may swim.

AGE GROUPS

Age Groups will be based on age as of December 31, 2022

• 6 years old & Under
• 7 – 8 years old
• 9 – 10 years old
• 11 – 12 years old
• 13 – 14 years old
• 15 – 16 years old
• 17 – 18 years old
• 19 – Above 

SCRATCHES

An administrative fee of P 50.00 shall be imposed for each competitor who scratches or do not show in any of their event during the competition.
Coaches must present scratches to the Recorder sixty (60) minutes prior to the start of the competition.
The fee will only be waived upon submission of a valid medical certificate.

Maximum of one entry per team in the relay events.

Entries should include name of each swimmer and their order of swim. Relay entries must be submitted together with the individual events. Relay order list may be changed until 8:00 A.M. only during the meet.

Stairstep relay swimmers may swim up from their respective age group to cover a higher age group but cannot swim down from their age group.

SWIMMING WARM UP GUIDELINES

Warm up starts at 6:00 A.M and the warm up guidelines will be observed

Competition pool:

• There is NO DIVING AT ALL until 7:00 A.M., then diving is only allowed in those lanes marked to do so.
• There is NO DIVING IN CIRCLE SWIMMING LANES AND TURN PRACTICE LANES, entry to these lanes is to be feet first, from a sitting position.
• Paddles and fins are not allowed during warm up. 

REFRESHMENTS 

Food and drinks will be available.

Protests are possible

• If the rules and regulations for the conduct of the meet are not observed,
• If other conditions endanger the competition and/or competitors, or
• Against decisions of the Referee; however no protests shall be allowed against decisions of fact.
• Protests must be submitted:
• To the Referee;

In writing;

• By the Team Coach only
• Together with a deposit of P 4,500.00; and
• Within 30 minutes following the posting of the result of the respective event.
• If the protest is rejected, the deposit will be forfeited to the organizers. If a protest is upheld, the deposit will be returned.
• If conditions causing a potential protest are noted prior to the competition, a protest must be lodged before the signal to start is given.

The following health protocols must be followed while inside the competition venue:

1. All Participants must present proof of vaccination
2. Wearing of face mask at all times when not swimming.
3. Observe one meter social distancing
4. Sanitize with alcohol on specific areas
5. Other health protocol of IATF
