Race Rules and Guidelines

1. Registration and Race Kit

  • Registration and race kit claiming will be on June 7, 2025, starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Porto Novo Anilao Dive and Leisure Resort, Brgy. Solo, Mabini, Batangas. Please present your valid ID at the registration booth. Strictly, Participant’s presence is required in claiming race kit. He or She should attend the briefing, No Briefing, No Race Policy. No refunds will be issued for cancellations or postponements due to force majeure or unforeseen events beyond the organizer’s control. Please refer to the event refund procedure below.

2. Training and Cut-Off Time

  • Registered participants should train according to their chosen swim distance.
  • Cut-off time: 4 hours for all distances.

3. Check-In

  • Registered participants must check in at the Registration Booth at least one (1) hour before the race start. Those who do not check in will be listed as DNS (Did Not Start).

4. Swim Cap, Buoy, and Footwear

  • A swim cap must be worn at all times during the swim course. We encourage all swimmers to use swim buoy during the race, especially those who are not confident in open water swimming.

5. Wetsuit Policy

  • Wetsuits and/or neoprene suits up to 2mm are allowed but will not be eligible for podium finishes.

6. Swim Course

  • The swim course will be marked to the best ability of the organizers. Participants are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the swim and run route map, which will be discussed during the race briefing.

7. Withdrawal/DNF

  • Participants withdrawing or declaring DNF (Did Not Finish) must inform the nearest race marshal. Failure to do so and leaving the race area will result in a ban from future races.

8. Liability Waiver

  • All participants must sign a liability waiver form before the race or during race kit claiming.

9. Drop Bags

  • Drop bags must be secured, waterproofed, and marked with the participant’s name and race number. The organizers are not responsible for loss or damage to drop bags.

10. Environmental Responsibility

  • Participants and companions must manage their trash responsibly. Dispose of waste in available trash bins. Practice “Trash-In, Trash-Out.”

11. Respect for Local Community

  • Participants and companions should conduct themselves courteously towards locals, organizers, volunteers, and fellow participants.

12. Overtaking

  • Overtaking swimmers must not pull or hit other swimmers.

13. Lane Line Buoys and Turning Points

  • Buoys and course guides (e.g., Caramel Buoys, Flaglets, Pontoon) must be kept on the swimmer’s left side. Race band marker at the U-Turn point. Please be sure to get one from the marshal when you reach the turnaround point.

14. Marshal Positioning

  • Marshals on kayaks, SUP boards, and bangkas will be positioned on the right side of swimmers to help maneuver swimmers going in different directions.

15. Resting and Assistance

  • Swimmers may use swim buoys or hold on to the pontoon, kayak or bangkas to float but must not board on it. If feeling unwell, use big hand waves for rescue assistance. If you choose not to continue, board the pontoon/bangka and be declared DNF.

16. Non-Registered Persons

  • Non-registered pacers and support crews are not allowed on the swim route during the race.

17. Disqualification

  • Failure to complete the swim or any form of cheating will result in disqualification.

18. Complaints

  • Any complaints regarding cheating must be submitted in writing within 12 hours post-race, signed, and supported by proof.

19. Rule Modifications

  • The Race Director/Organizer reserves the right to modify rules and the race route for the safety and welfare of participants.

20. Media Usage

  • The organizer may use pictures and videos from the event for publication.

21. Media Coverage

  • Photographers, videographers, or media must have written permission (whether via email or message through our FB page) from the organizers to cover the event.
